Studies

I’m going to be a student forever. I love to learn. I have a B.A. in English and I’m doing an M.A. in Applied Linguistics. I am highly interested in linguistic anthropology. The plan is to take my Japanese proficiency to mastery level and then do intensive study of Korean. I aim to do my PhD in Comparative Literature, focusing on East Asian and Western Literature, specifically through the lens of women’s studies. I want to study the effects of gender roles on the formation of language and to analyze its role in developmental linguistics as well as the creation of female archetypes in literature (i.e the Gothic convention of a suffering heroine).
